Dr. Mohammed Jahangir speaks about the potential for tackling drones using radar

Published: 27 September 2016

Aveillant's Dr. Mohammed Jahangir continues to share his expertise on using radar for drone surveillance. The Cambridge Technology & Enterprise Club have invited him to speak at this week's seminar on drones.

He will be presenting some of his work on how we can use radar to tackle to problem of drones in our skies.

The event will be held at St. John's Innovation Centre, Cambridge this Thursday 29th September between 6-8pm.

Abstract:

‘Countering micro-drones using radar’

The accessibility and availability of micro drones raise new security threats which conventional wide-area surveillance sensors such as a scanning radar find difficult to counter. Aveillant Holographic RadarTM takes a leaf out of the book of the computer gaming industry and produces a real-time complete 3-D view of its coverage area with enough sensitivity to reliably track micro-drones.
