UK radar technology company, Aveillant is attending the Enhanced Surveillance of Aircraft and Vehicles Congress (ESAV) in Rome on September 15th-16th.

ESAV’14 Congress is a world-leading Congress dedicated to providing the most advanced and cutting-edge information to air traffic control industry experts including researchers, operational experts and key decision makers in sensors and systems development.

Aveillant’s Engineering Director, Tim Quilter and his colleague, Mohammed Jahangir, Aveillant’s Algorithm Designer, will be presenting a paper titled, “3D non-scanning array to detect targets in the presence of wind turbines– A step change for Air Traffic Control.”

Tim Quilter says: “Representing a significant breakthrough in radar technology our 3D Holographic Radar™ identifies objects and intelligently removes unnecessary “clutter” from the air traffic control picture. Air traffic controllers can therefore get a clear view of the air traffic, enabling them to better manage the air space and general safety around the vicinity of the airport.”

Tim continues, “Our advanced radar systems are used by wind farm developers to help them overcome the problems that turbines cause and enable aviation objections to be removed.”
