Aveillant, the UK-based radar technology company, has received the ISO 27001 accreditation for its information security management system.

ISO 27001 is the best-known and respected standard in the world in providing requirements for an information security management system. The standard recognises that Aveillant’s management of the security of assets has met rigorous guidelines on the handling of sensitive financial information, intellectual property, customer data and other information which is entrusted to the company by third parties.

Kenneth Mason, Radar Test Engineer and Field Trials Engineer at Aveillant, comments: “Achieving the ISO/IEC 27001 accreditation confirms our commitment to the highest standards of our management of information security systems.  As the company continues to experience growth, our information security and that of our customers are of the highest importance to us and we’re proud to have achieved this accolade.” Representing a major break-through in radar technology and offering a unique service to air traffic controllers, Aveillant’s 3D Holographic Radar™ technology provides a massive step forward in radar technology, providing accurate measurement (or time on target) for 100% of the time compared to the 1% of conventional rotating radars. Through intelligent characterisation of all objects in its range, the radar can detect, differentiate and remove clutter such as wind turbines or motorway traffic, providing a clear view of what the operator needs to view.
