Aveillant is revolutionizing radar. Our Holographic Radar™ technology uses powerful computing engines to release radar sensors from the constraint of sequential beam steering, and to allow them to classify each target.
For example, in the context of Air Traffic Control, it resolves interference between wind turbines and aviation radar, a problem which is causing major disruption to the renewable energy industry in the UK and throughout the world. Holographic radar™ deals intelligently with radar targets’ behaviour; in this case distinguishing between rotating wind turbines and moving aircraft.
The technology has been proven in military and civil tests and will find numerous applications in air, marine and ground surveillance. These systems must meet stringent performance criteria while satisfying formal requirements for quality and system integrity, and its implementation will make a significant contribution to building a more secure and sustainable world.
We seek an enthusiastic, experienced, degree-qualified electronics engineer. In return, you will be offered the opportunity to integrate your experience of electronics design within a team developing leading-edge RF, digital and computing electronics. You will be designing solutions for real-time, field-operational, mission-critical radar sensors. You will take a key role in a small, dynamic team of highly capable individuals; you will have a direct impact on the engineering process and the success of the business, and will have the opportunity to take the lead in exploiting embedded digital processor technology.
The successful candidate is likely to have knowledge and experience in the following practices:
- Digital design – including specification, implementation and test development
- Electronics design for cost, manufacturability and reliability
In addition, experience in at least some of the following would be a distinct advantage:
- Altium Designer
- Verilog programming, Xilinx products and design tools
- Embedded Software
- Mixed signal design and test
- High speed serial communications, over Ethernet
Product development is at an intense stage, and there will be no shortage of challenges and rewarding experiences.
Aveillant is an equal-opportunity employer that offers a stimulating engineering environment and a ground-breaking line of products and applications. A market-competitive salary will be offered according to your level of experience and complemented by a generous benefits package.
If this looks like a role that interests or might be a fit for you we want to hear from you; we are looking for an electronics engineer who creates effective solutions.
