AVEILLANT ACHIEVES INTERNATIONAL STANDARD FOR WORKPLACE SAFETY

Aveillant is now OHSAS 18001 Accredited

Aveillant has been recognised for its excellent Health and Safety Management by achieving BS OHSAS 18001 accreditation, one of the most widely recognised occupational health and safety management standards available.

The BS OHSAS 18001 is the internationally recognised standard for Health and Safety Management which sets out the requirements of good practice for any size of organisation. By securing this accreditation Aveillant has demonstrated its outstanding level of commitment to the well-being and safety of its team, ensuring this is a priority for the company.

Representing a major advance in radar technology, Aveillant has developed 3D Holographic Radar™, which is now providing much more accurate real-time and longer range detection of non-cooperative (Primary Surveillance), targets for air traffic surveillance.  Primary Surveillance radars are not reliant on information being transmitted from an aircraft, unlike secondary surveillance which relies on the aircraft transmitting information back to the ground.  3D Holographic Radar™ knows the position, height and relative speed of an aircraft in view of the radar and updates this information every quarter of a second.

Operations Director at Aveillant, Robert Wade, comments: “We strive for excellence throughout all areas of the company, and we’re pleased that our efforts to develop a companywide culture of health and safety as a priority, has been recognised. The BS OHSAS 18001 accreditation strengthens Aveillant’s commitment to guaranteeing quality in all aspects of the business.”
