AVEILLANT JOINS ‘SUSTAINABLE AIRPORTS FOR A STRONGER ECONOMY’ DEBATE AT THE AOA CONFERENCE

10th – 11th November 2014, London

Leading radar technology company Aveillant is once again attending the Airport Operator’s Association (AOA) conference to join other industry experts in discussions around this year’s conference theme ‘sustainable airports for a stronger economy’.

Aveillant’s 3D Holographic Radar™ has revolutionised the way that airports can monitor airspace, providing a constant 3D view while removing unwanted ‘clutter’ from the images, caused by wind turbines or motorway traffic. It also operates on the ‘L band’ frequency, as opposed to the highly congested ‘S band’, and has been appointed by the CAA to demonstrate the ability of its 3D Holographic Radar™ technology to provide a spectrum-efficient alternative to the ‘other air surveillance radars.

Celebrating its 80th anniversary this year, the AOA’s annual event will be attended by leading figures from the sector, including experts from CAA, NATS, Aviation Minister Robert Goodwill MP, Mary Creagh MP and Airports Commission Chairman Sir Howard Davies. Presentations will cover the key issues facing the sector, including Government policy changes and the sustainable future of the airport industry.

David, Crisp, CEO of Aveillant, said: “This is an important event in the air industry’s calendar and one that we are looking forward to. The sector is changing fast and the pressure on airport operators is great, it’s therefore essential that we all come together in this way in order to help map out a sustainable future. At the event last year we presented the success of our 3D Holographic Radar™, following trials by an independent aviation consultancy. This year we are talking about the commercial implementation of our radars across the UK and plans for new products and applications in the New Year. We’re looking forward to hearing some thought-provoking speeches followed by great debate, plus catching up with some familiar faces”.
